Dates are 21st - 24th of September 2019

We are pleased to announce this 3.5 day course, hosted by Lakeview Monkey Sanctuary, Ascot, UK.

LMS is not open to the public providing a unique opportunity for participants to see the work being done at this charity, housing 35 rescued primates. Ascot is just 30minutes drive from Heathrow Airport with good bus and train connections, making it easy for International delegates.

Designed around the SHAPE format and aimed specifically at Keepers and Animal Caregivers, currently working with captive species. Instructors will guide participants through a process that will allow them to develop more holistic and goal oriented enrichment programs in their own facilities. The course is roughly split between lecture and practical components. Lecture topics include: Animal welfare, and an enrichment overview, including the framework, safety and evaluation. The practical components of the course will include behavioural problem solving, fire hose and rope splicing workshops, and the application of all the taught principles as participants are split into groups, allowing the opportunity to test the framework with the facilities animals. Please note you must be 18 or over to attend this course.

Mark has been involved in the animal welfare field since 2004. He is a SHAPE Workshop Coordinator and the Co-founder of Team Building with BITE.
